Simultaneously, the property should contact the Risk Department so the claim process can be initiated. Engaging an emergency vendor is also a critical step; these vendors are expected to provide rapid response, expert evaluation, and efficient mitigation services such as water extraction, debris removal, and temporary repairs. Clear communication with the vendor and setting realistic timelines and expectations can help streamline the recovery process.
